4 Days Explore Nyerere National park


Overview; This 4-day safari in the largest national park in Tanzania, Nyerere National Park, only about 5 hours from Dar es Salaam, is perfect for your weekend or weekdays safari. Nyerere's scenery is amazing with its green and lush landscape, hippo lakes, and large number of giraffes, zebras, elephants, and lions. Here you can also do both boat safaris and walking safaris for a bit more excitement. You can tailor your weekend tour anyway you want.

Safari Itinerary;

Day-1

Dar es Salaam to Nyerere National Park (Boat Safari)

At 7:00 am, we will pick you up from your hotel in Dar es Salaam and depart to NyerereNational Park. Our arrival shall be at noon and we shall get a hot lunch in Wilderness Camp. At around 3:00 pm, proceed with a 2- to 3-hour boat safari in the Rufiji River until sunset. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at Selous Wilderness Camp.

 

Main Destination: Selous Game Reserve

Accommodation: Selous Wilderness Camp

Mid-range tented camp bordering Nyerere NP without fences

Meals & Drinks: Dinner (Breakfast & lunch not included)

Drinking water (Other drinks not included)

 

Day-2.

Nyerere National Park (Full Day Game Drive)


After breakfast, you will have a full-day game drive with a packed picnic lunch inside the park. All day you'll be able to spot hippos, crocodiles, lions, hunting dogs, giraffes, zebras, elephants, and even leopards if you're lucky. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at Selous Wilderness Tented Camp.

 

Main Destination: Selous Game Reserve

Accommodation: Selous Wilderness Camp

Mid-range tented camp bordering Nyerere NP without fences

Meals & Drinks: All meals included

Drinking water (Other drinks not included)

 

Day-3

Nyerere National Park (Full Day Game Drive)

After breakfast, enjoy full-day game viewing in the park with packed picnic lunch. You will be taken at Tagalala (the heart of the park) to explore the hot spring. All day long, you'll be able to spot several wild animals like hippos, crocodiles, lions, hunting dogs, giraffes, zebras, elephants, and even leopards if you're lucky. Dinner and overnight at Selous Wilderness Tented Camp.

Accommodation: Selous Wilderness Camp

Mid-range tented camp bordering Nyerere NP without fences

Meals & Drinks: All meals included

Day-4

Early Morning Walking Safari in the Park and Drive Back to Dar es Salaam

After an early breakfast, you will have a walking safari accompanied by a local expert guide as well as an experienced ranger. Here you will have a chance to touch and feel the walk along the terrestrial wilderness while enjoying all sounds of birds. After brunch at the lodge, we will drive back to Dar es Salaam.

 

Main Destination: Selous Game Reserve.

Accommodation: No accommodation (End of tour).
